Oro App Proposal - revised

Proposal presented by: Pixel Perfect Apps

We think your App idea is great.

We have no doubt that it would be used heavily by your target audience, locally, regionally and internationally.

We understand that you are establishing a website and are looking to offer your clients a new experience.

Well, …this is what we do!

Overview

This outlines the proposed creation and maintenance of a mobile app showcasing ORO a Carnival mas band and also allowing opportunities for the band to improve their reach and engagement with current and potential customers.

Proposed App Structure

The app will showcase features from the website and allow users to view, select and order costumes and section FAQs. Users can be alerted of band updates via general push notification as well as section specific notification, including a Notification Center. GPS location will displayed about section location. A calendar of Events will showcase additional band related events. The app will also include info about the band, Grenada, travel guide as well as accommodation and ‘getting around’ info and provides advertising opportunity for band sponsors. A chat feature will be included in a later phase, as well as ‘buy and sell’ opportunity.

It will be build for Android version 6+ and iOS version 10+.

2. Submit initial payment as specified under payment schedule.

3. Access to website/database

4. Client must submit relevant information:

a. Color, graphic or aesthetics requirements b. Content/images/information c. Any other special requirements

Once these steps have been completed we will commence work on the app. We will be in-touch heavily over email and phone/whatsapp(group) to ensure the design/development is as expected.

The Process & Timescales

The total time of getting your app from concept to the first submission to the app stores is approximately 10 weeks. Phase 2 & 3 will each take approximately additional 10 weeks. (Overlapping of phases maybe possible upon discussion with client.) Timeline is dependent on provision of content by client The process is outlined below.

Estimated Timeline:

December - August

Initial Payment for Phase 1
Detail Specification: We know the rough plan and what the app needs to do. We will have a detailed discussion and nail this down.
Week 1
Design & flow: Next, we'll get working on what's known as wireframes. These are basically pencil drawings of your app. We do this so we (yourself and us) can focus on the structure and flow of the app rather than worrying about colours and styles. Once we have this agreed, we start to add colour and the branding.
Week 2 - 3
Development: At this point, we go quiet and just get on with making it. The spec is nailed down, the design and screens are all agreed, it's just a small case of "making it work". (If only it were always that easy!)
Weeks 4 - 8
Second Payment
Testing: Testing is vital. People rarely give an app a second chance. We test vigorously. Not just whether button A does what it's supposed to, but testing on other people. It's about making sure that everything works as it should and that the natural flows we want to occur are natural to random people the first time they play with it.
Week 9
Store submission: When we're ready and you're happy, we submit it to the app stores. We will prepare all the marketing material needed like screenshots and descriptions for the listing. If there are any issues, we will refine them and re-submit until we get approval.
Week 10
Final Payment of Phase 1
Initial Payment for Phase 1
Design & flow: Next, we'll get working on Phase 2. The look and feel (UX/UI) of the existing app guides the flow of the additional features
Week 11 - 12
Development: Here we go quiet again and just get on with our magic. The app is in use and we'll apply adjustments as we get feedback, the flow of new features are agreed on, we are just "making it work".
Week 13 - 18
Store submission: When we're ready and you're happy, we submit it to the app stores.
Week 19
Second Payment for Phase 2
Initial Payment for Phase 3
Design & flow: Next, we'll get working on Phase 2. The look and feel (UX/UI) of the existing app guides the flow of the additional features
Week 20 - 22
Development: Here we go quiet again and just get on with our magic. The app is in use and we'll apply adjustments as we get feedback, the flow of new features are agreed on, we are just "making it work".
Week 23 - 28
Store submission: When we're ready and you're happy, we submit it to the app stores.
Week 29
Final Payment
